The Cause of Music's Degredation?

I was watching MTV when it came to me, MTV is the reason music now sucks ass. Think about it, what do you wanna see in a music video? Hot chicks, hot guys? You don't wanna see some ugly person singing. When a Britney or N'Sync fan starts talking about them, what do they say? "She so @#%$ talented! She must have spent years in vocal training!" "They are so talented! Not thats what I call natural talent!" No, never hear that. "SHE IS SO HOT!" "THEY ARE SO CUTE! I LUV YOU!" Thats what you hear. I'm not saying all good looking people don't have talent, Faith Hill comes to mind(there are some more, but I can't hink of any. And people think different people are attractive). In 1981, a guy who's name I forgot, won 5 Grammy's. 5 frickin' Grammy's. Yet, didn't get any time time on MTV. Why you ask? He wasn't good looking, he was fat, and plain looking. But this guy had more talent then N'SYNC, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Backstreet Boys, and O-Town combined. AT the same time duran duran(who have no talent) who had women in bikinis in their videos, got lots of air time. Strange isn't it? Now different people like different music, but this getting out of hand. All the POP(short for popular) bands lyrics are bad. A million dead monkeys could write better. Have you heard "Pop" by N'SYNC? Did you know it took 2 people to write that? 2! I could better than that while drunk. I'm sick and tired of covering bad music with beautiful people and flashy videos. I'm not just dissing POP bands. WTF is up with rap now? And rock and punk? And R&B? And country? Every style of music is going bad, and I for one am sick of it.

How is this a conspiracy you ask? People at the record companies were not making enough money. And they noticed if you take beautiful people, and make them sing. No matter how bad they were, people would buy it. Its been going on for some time, but with videos, it was easier to cover up the bad singing/lyrics/acting. Now why would people buy bad music? What are most N'SYNC fans? Teenage girls. Now in their mind, if they own all the N'SYNC stuff, they have more of a chance to marry/date/@#%$ them. Same with Britney fans. I know this from talking with them, and I used to be a fan..but that was a bad time in my life.

I wanna turn on MTV and see a music video for a Jazz band at #1 on TRL, or maybe someone who sings like Aaron Neville, or Boyz II Men, or hear some great songwriting. I realize this won't happen till I buy MTV and make it a Jazz and R&B station...
